    Individualized Approach

My therapeutic approach is rooted in a comprehensive and integrative philosophy, emphasizing the importance of unconditional positive regard, empathy, and compassion while also remaining solution focused. I recognize that healing is not a universal journey, nor is it linear and that there isn't a "one size fits all" approach. Therefore, my approach includes cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems and mindfulnes based interventions just to name a few of the modalities that I use. My goal is to always encourage my clients to "create space" so that there is room for obervation and eventually, awareness. Change cannot be made without awareness, and there can't be awareness without space.

I pride myself on being able to tailor my methods to meet the unique needs of each individual. I have vast experience in helping individuals and families with varying levels of mood disorders, grief, trauma, crisis, family dynamics, relationship issues, life transitions, self image, anxiety and depression.

    Session Information

I do not take insurance, however, I will provide you with a receipt after each session to submit to insurance for reimbursement if you have out of network benefits. If you need help navigating this, I am always happy to help.

If you are a new client, your first session with me will be 80-90 minutes so that I can acquire a solid foundation of information about you as an individual and what brings you into therapy. Sessions thereafter, will either be 45 minutes or 60 minutes depending on need and preference. I also offer virtual sessions.

    EMDR Therapy

Eye Movement Densitization Reprocessing (EMDR) is research supported therapy designed to help the brain heal from distressing or traumatic experiences. When something overwhelming happens, the brain can store the memory in a way that keeps it feeling stuck- leading to ongoing anxiety, panic, inrusive thoughts, emotional reactivity or physical symptoms. EMDR helps the brain reprocess these memories so that they feel resolved rather than activating. 70-90% of those with single -incident trauma no longer meet diagnostic criteria for PTSD after EMDR tratment. Some research even shows as many as 100% remission for single-trauma cases and up to 77% remission for multiple trauma cases after EMDR protocol is completed.
